When I was a student back in Taiwan, I used to hate subjects that require good memory to be able to get good grades. Like history, it has already happened, and I couldn't really find a logical route to memorize each event in the history, as each one is different.
On the other hand, I love logical subjects like mathematics. Although we have to remember the formulas. However, the formulas are actually discovered by dedicated mathematicians who spent years to discover and developed short and sweet formulas.
Music is the same. Although a piece of music can be difficult to read as an outsider. Imagine if the music notes are not even developed, where could we start our musical journey as a beginner... We would have to try to develop symbols or notes to record a piece of music before we even start to learn any notes.
We should be grateful for all these educational systems that seem to be extremely difficult to learn. In fact, they shorten our learning path, enabling us to learn faster with regular routes.
The thing is not all educational systems will bring us to where we want to go. Some of the systems are overly concentrated on the “Regular route” without being practical. The certificate couldn't even save us from the cruelty of the real society.
