Reposting from July 19, I accidentally deleted this post, so I have to post it again.
Today I am heading to Shepparton to meet Jimmy Li from the ONE FM Shepparton Radio station. Jimmy kindly invited me to record a conversation about my book From Ugly to Beautiful Without Surgery. This program is for Mandarin speaking audiences in Australia and I feel grateful to be part of it.
Although Mandarin is my first language, I have spent many years thinking and expressing myself in English. I started learning general English around the age of nineteen and began my coaching journey at twenty seven, which I also studied in English. Because of this, many of the words I naturally reach for, especially when I talk about body image, identity and personal growth, come to me in English first.
Sometimes it feels like my thoughts are moving between two languages and cultures. It can be a unique experience, shifting between ways of thinking and speaking. But I have come to see it as part of who I am. I am shaped by both worlds and learning how to stay grounded in the middle with clarity and heart.
I am glad we can reach more people through this opportunity. Thank you to everyone who continues to support me. I believe that no matter the language, what matters most is the message we carry, the lives we touch and the courage to keep showing up.
