We don’t need to wait until our 80s, regretting the things we didn’t do. Society will always have expectations. Being overly conscious of what others might think, if we don’t fit into what is considered “acceptable” can stop us from doing what matters most.

I didn’t attend dance class because I felt I wasn’t beautiful enough to dance. I didn’t grab an opportunity because I was afraid of rejection. Too many “I didn’ts” in the past.

Now, whatever makes you hesitate, whether to follow your heart or to follow what others expect you to be, pause and imagine yourself in your 80s. Would you regret the decision you are making today just because of what other people think?

The answer is simple. The only battle we need to overcome is the battlefield of our own minds.
