You are not as tall as you think. Yesterday I went to an indie music concert in Melbourne, and the moment I walked in, I felt like the shortest person in the room. All I could see were the backs of people’s heads. At 175 cm, my height is way above average height in Taiwan.
It reminded me how much our perspective depends on culture. We may think we’re tall, until we’re not. We may think we’re ugly, until we broaden our view of the world and realize we’re not.
