Being nice takes effort.

Being nice takes effort.

Being with people who speak to you with kindness, respect, and warmth is one of the most joyful things to experience. They always greet you with a hug and extend a warm welcome into their personal space.

These people make an effort to care for everyone and dedicate their energy to ensuring your well-being. They make you feel comfortable asking for their help, knowing they will provide if they can.

Unfortunately, we sometimes take them for granted because they are friendly, and we feel free to say or do anything we prefer.

Being nice to everyone we meet takes work. It's like waking up in the morning. Sometimes, we wish to sleep in for another 30 minutes, but the kids are waiting for us to prepare breakfast, so we still get up regardless of how we feel.

It would be much easier to stay in bed and not serve anyone when it's so lovely and warm.

Behind every action comes with love, patience, and kindness.

If we look at a smile that only raises the corners of the lips and the upper lip, it takes five muscle pairs, or ten total muscles, to do so.

Being reactive is easier than proactive because it gives us certainty in responding.

We often normalize the kindness we receive. Being aware that people who serve us with kindness and reciprocate with the right attitude can lead to long, sustained relationships based on mutual respect and understanding.
