When we’re doing what we love, even four hours of sleep can feel like enough. We wake up early, make calls, get things done, and somehow we are still full of energy. Because we know where we are headed, and we believe in the purpose behind it.
But when we are disconnected from that sense of meaning, even eight hours of sleep will not shake the exhaustion. We wake up tired, drag ourselves through the day, and struggle to start the tasks we planned, because deep down we are not inspired by them. And yet, no matter what we do or how we feel, we still have to work. Almost no one can escape working for survival.
Our brains are always sending us signals, chemicals that tell us what feels rewarding and what does not. These signals show up in our energy levels, our mood, and our motivation.
So pay attention. Your body is giving you clues. And when you can, choose joy. Life is short. Make it count and have some fun along the way.
