“How can we help our children understand their beauty when the world is so noisy?”
A woman asked me this during my recent book launch. It was such a powerful question, and one that I believe many parents and grandparents quietly carry in their hearts.
My short answer was this:
The noise will always be there. But our role is not to quiet the world. It is to prepare our children before they face it. To help them see their own beauty first, from the inside out.
We can support them in building strong self-esteem, and guide them to see that beauty looks different in every country and culture. Beauty is subjective. When children understand this, they are less likely to be defined by narrow ideals, and more likely to grow into the best version of themselves. They can begin to discover their unique potential with confidence and clarity.
That is why I wrote From Ugly to Beautiful Without Surgery. To spark conversations that matter. To offer a path for both adults and the next generation to see their worth beyond appearance.
