It’s Not Your Fault

It’s Not Your Fault

It’s not your fault if someone in your life refuses to take responsibility, no matter how much you care or how hard you try.

Sometimes, we pour our heart into helping someone we love. We see them stuck, and we believe that if we love them enough, support them enough, try hard enough, and we can pull them out of that place. So we keep trying. Over and over again. But nothing changes.

Slowly, we begin to lose ourselves. Not because we were weak, but because we were carrying someone who never chose to move.

When we finally stop, guilt shows up. That conflict in our chest. That quiet ache. We suffer, not because we stopped caring, but because we cared so deeply. Often, more than they cared for themselves.

So the real question becomes this. How long will you keep holding onto someone hanging off a cliff, using all your strength to pull them up when they won’t even try to climb?

Letting go does not mean you stopped loving them. It means you are finally choosing to love yourself too.
