It’s Okay to Do Nothing

It’s Okay to Do Nothing

Sometimes, when life slows down, it can feel unsettling. There is a quiet pressure to be doing something, achieving something, or proving that time is not being wasted.

For many people, this feeling comes from a deeper belief. If they are not beautiful, they must at least be useful. So they stay busy, hoping that doing more will make them feel worthy. As if being enough depends on constant effort.

But the truth is, our worth has nothing to do with how much we do. Being busy is not the same as being loved. And rest is not something that needs to be earned.

Beneath all the striving, there is often a quiet hope to be loved without having to prove anything.

If stillness feels uncomfortable, you are not alone. It takes time to unlearn the habit of proving your value. But even in moments of rest, you are already enough.
