The Strength of a Mother Without Wealth: A Story of Gratitude and Transformation

The Strength of a Mother Without Wealth: A Story of Gratitude and Transformation

Anyone who attended my seminar in November might remember the story I shared about how I looked before I turned 18. I've been opening up about my past to demonstrate that life can be different if we are willing to make a change.

I didn’t have the easiest childhood, but I want to make it clear that my stories don’t reflect negatively on my mother. She was an incredible mum who worked three jobs to provide us with a stable environment. She even allowed me to attend expensive after-school programs because she wanted the best for me. For that, I’m forever grateful.

We always had plenty of food on the table- so much so that I pretended to still be hungry, even when I was full, just so my mum wouldn’t think she wasn’t a good cook. I guess being a “good girl” paid off because all that eating made me the tallest in the family!

Today, I want to celebrate all the mums who give their all to raise their kids. Thank you, Mum- you’re amazing, and I love you!

Yes, the first one on the right is me—I know, it looks nothing like how I do now!
