It is so easy to focus on what we do not have, admiring what others do.
But if I asked you to rate your life out of ten, and your score is higher than six, chances are your life is unfolding in a way that aligns with your desires. You are actively working toward your goals, and if you truly stepped into someone else’s life, you likely would not trade places.
Every one of us makes sacrifices to create the life we prefer. It could be anything, career, relationships, freedom, or stability. But one thing is certain, no one has everything. And by everything, I do not just mean material wealth, I mean every possible aspect of life we could wish for.
When I was nineteen, I traveled across different cities in Taiwan, working various jobs, and later ventured to Australia. That period of my life was filled with adventure, spontaneity, and exploration. But when I decided to build a business from the ground up, I realized I could not prioritize freedom in the same way. I had to put travel on hold to pursue something that mattered more to me at this stage of life.
We all have something, and at the same time, we are continuously striving for something more, something that aligns with our evolving dreams and values. But if you take a serious look at your life, at the effort, choices, and growth that brought you here, you would likely see that you would not trade your path for anyone else’s.
