One day, one of my friends told me he was always late for work because he felt unmotivated.
I am glad he could tell me how he felt without worrying about being judged.
No one wants to feel unmotivated. Most people hope they can be the person who dresses up nicely and goes to the office with unlimited amount of energy. Be someone who can inspire colleagues and live the best life they could ever live.
Somehow, we feel stuck.
We feel stuck because our careers do not provide meaning to us, or we cannot find meaning in them.
We may find a company's vision that aligns with our values or even has the culture we like to immerse ourselves in. By saying that, we can also create meaning independently if the company does not provide a clear vision.
Vision is essential to the company and the employees; it allows people to see the bigger picture and create a sense of belonging.
We still have to survive when we feel stuck due to a lack of motivation. We need to wake up to do the jobs we don't like, and we must pay the rent, food, and all the bills.
Most of us are curious about what life is all about. It must be more than just surviving.
Life is a long journey to discover who we want to be. I recalled the last two years and how lost I felt, and I am grateful that I found a career I love. To discover what I went through- Making every day count – C.C.Within (ccwithin.com)
Even now, I have had a significant breakthrough in my career. I still have days when I feel highly motivated by my goal—I could work from morning to 11 p.m. I also have days when I feel unmotivated and want to hide in my car so no one can see me taking a break.
This feeling happened in the past, even in a career I loved. So we must learn to love where we are now in whatever stage.
This is life. We feel bored when we don't do anything and overwhelmed when we have something to do. We need to learn how to love each stage of our journey. If we don't love where we are now, we won't love when we arrive at our destination.
Finding meaning is not easy, but we must keep searching and taking action. I have always believed that the darkest moments in life can give us the greatest strength to make a change.
